Afternoon Tea at Summer Lodge

There is nowhere better to savour a delicious traditional Afternoon Tea than at Summer Lodge Country House Hotel & Restaurant, located moments away from The Acorn Inn.


For many years, Summer Lodge have welcomed guests and locals for their famous Afternoon Tea, which can be enjoyed in the Conservatory, Whisky Lounge, Drawing Room, or during finer weather, al fresco on the terrace overlooking their beautiful gardens.


Please note that our Afternoon Teas are not available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A quintessentially English tradition

Traditional Afternoon Tea

Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea and sample some of the finest Dorset cream with your scones whilst indulging in delicate finger sandwiches and a glorious array of cakes and delicacies. Alternatively, choose our Savoury Afternoon Tea menu for a delightful twist on this celebrated tradition.

Price: £40 per person; £55 per person with a glass of Bride Valley Crémant Dorset Champagne; £60 per person with a glass of Lanson Black Label

Delicious Dorset Cream Tea

Savour freshly baked scones served with Dorset's finest clotted cream, strawberry jam and choose from an extensive selection of teas. It's the perfect way to catch up with family or friends and relax in beautiful surroundings.  

It is advisable to reserve a table.

Masterclass experience

Please note, we are currently not accepting reservations for this experience.

We proudly serve Single Estate Teas from our ethical supplier, PMD Tea. Our Afternoon Tea Masterclass Experience marries a selection of the finest PMD Teas with our Afternoon Tea sandwiches, scones and pastries. The experience is hosted by Dananjaya Silva, Managing Director of PMD Tea. Dan will guide you through the history of tea and how to expertly pair tea with food, creating the ultimate masterclass experience.  

Price: £240 for the tuition | £40 per person for Afternoon Tea
