We are here to help

Due to the design and rich history of the property, we are constricted with regards to structural changes to be totally accessible, however, whether you have mobility, hearing or visual impairments, we will be able to suggest the best solution to ensure your stay in Dorset is as comfortable as it is luxurious.

Room facilities

Sadly we do not have any ground floor bedrooms. For wheelchair users, our sister hotel just opposite has three ground floor rooms, one of which has been designed specifically for guests with special access needs.

All bathroom floors have a non-slip treatment on the tiles and non-slip bath mats.

Feather and hypoallergenic pillows can be requested.

We operate a system of PEEP’s (Personal Emergency Evaluation Plan) - assisted escape for disabled visitors. Please tell our staff your requirements and we will provide you with a suitable escape plan.

There are two steps down to our function room. The function room can also be accessed with one step from the car park.

In the restaurant, we have a mixture of armchairs and side chairs.

More information

If you wish to avoid the steps customers can be dropped off at our front door on the main village lane. The front door leads immediately into our restaurant with no steps leading around to reception.

There is room for people and luggage to be dropped off at the front door before parking in the car park. We are happy to assist with your bags. We advise you not to park in the lane as it is very narrow and tractors are very wide!
