Dog in front of fire place at Acorn Inn

Country pursuits

There are so many wonderful walks on our doorstep. There is a stunning 400-acre deer park at the bottom of the village which has a footpath through the middle of it past the county house. Please note that dogs will need to stay on their leads throughout the walk - please ask at reception for a copy of the directions.

If roaming free is preferred, then there are countless footpaths over fields and hills in every direction. There are lots of ordnance survey maps in reception for you to borrow to help you on your way.
