A quiet seaside retreat
Okavango Delta, Botswana
The story of Xigera Safari Lodge is one of renewal. Of rebirth and family legacy, and of the pioneering spirit that drives us to seek out Africa’s wild spaces. The same spirit that inspired this remarkable reimagining, perhaps a complete reinvention, of an Okavango Delta safari.
This is Xigera (pronounced ‘kee-jera’), named for the Pied Kingfisher that makes its home amid the watery channels of Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve.
Every aspect is handcrafted to beguile our guests’ senses and stir their souls – from the evocative interiors to one-of-a-kind encounters.
But Xigera is equally a line in the sand. A raising of the bar. A bold statement in the realm of luxury safaris, and an Okavango Delta safari experience like no other.
Our sister vineyard lies in the lovely Hemel-en-Aarde Valley (Heaven and Earth), part of the Walker Bay wine region near Hermanus, South Africa’s whale watching capital. We are proud to serve Bouchard Finlayson, acclaimed worldwide for producing the best Pinot Noir in South Africa, as well as exceptional Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs.
Jason and Rachael run the family farm which produces this fantastic cheddar cheese. They also dreamt up a use for the by-product, whey, and now also produce a fantastic, internationally renowned milk vodka.

Located in the heart of St James's, this 300-year-old bespoke perfumery is a privately-owned independent, family-run business with nine generations of expertise. All products are manufactured at Floris’ factory in Devon; using traditional methods such as hand-wrapping soaps and hand-pouring candles.
With 85 acres of vineyard, lakes and grazing land surrounded by woodland, Furleigh transformed the former dairy farm into a modern and productive vineyard and winery. Over 22,000 vines grow on the south-facing slopes of the Estate. 15,000 of these are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meurnier used to produce classic quality sparkling wines.
